Like I said in my post 57 that the Monastery is the best of Applied Marxism, even this society have 'the state': The Abbot, or Abess for the nuns. Someone must direct efforts and make decisions where there are conflicts.
A truly stateless society would mean a fundamental change in human nature where every human being is truly in the image of God: Selfless. Altruistic. Sacrificial. Loving. This society would exceed what the Bible recommends. If anything, the Bible would not be needed at all. All those four character traits would be genetic.
Marxism is not a political ideology. It's a method of analyzing how industrial technology affects class relations. Marx saw class revolution as an inevitability as technology advances and grows the gap between the haves and the have-nots. He used "communism" to refer to a society where technology and the subsequent seizure of technology by the masses made capitalism, states, and other human organizations required to produce and distribute goods obsolete. He saw communism as basically the inevitable conclusion of a technological society. I don't think Marx foresaw environmental degradation and rogue AI derailing technological progress, but his views of how technology affects the power struggle between the classes are still highly relevant regardless of how you think wealth should be distributed.
Communism as it was practiced in the 20th Century was skipping over 100 years of technological advancement and skipping to the idealistic endpoint to justify authoritarianism. That's how "Marxism" became a vague boogeyman word for conservatives to describe anything they don't like. Marx himself saw the leftist movements that used his name as counter to what he professed.
Are there tanks with Soviet flags rolling through the streets of D.C.?
Vaxxine mandates, rising cost of living, borders open, determination to prevent voter integrity, CRT in many schools, protesting parents or domestic terrorists, gender studies, redefinition of words, white rage, cancel culture, summer of love, antifa, BLM, MSM controlled by the left, ....
Maybe not all those things have hit your town yet but some of them have. I thought we were safe in New Zealand, only to discover we are being hit right here at home! We have a left wing liberal government and they have already silenced the press. they are busy segregating the population aka apartheid, giving the country over to a small minority, forcing gender crazy onto us - it's already in our schools! When I fill out an official form, it askes for my self identified gender! (I will be answering with 'attack helicopter' in future).
...any 'ism' will work in a society if the people have a moral and ethical compass and act as such...absent that, you can dress any 'ism' up in any way you want , it WILL fail...it has less to do with the 'form' of government than it has to do with the people running the government...
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” ~John Adams

Here is what I said back in post 57...
If Applied Marxism seemingly always ended up in Authoritarianism, or worse Totalitarianism, over 100 yrs and in multiple countries, then is there a point in trying to differentiate between Theoretical Marxism and Authoritarianism/Totalitarianism?
How many times must we hear variations of 'Real communism never been tried...' etc...etc...etc... ?
These ideological boogeymen were not conjured from the intellectual ether, especially when there are people like myself who experience and/or fled from the real Marxist boogeymen. Are we supposed to shut up of our experience?
If you create an intellectual foundation for an ideological movement and that your followers corrupted that intellectual foundation which inevitably smeared your name, tough 5h!t, as the response go. People need labels and your name -- Marx -- will conveniently serve that need.
After one hundred yrs, about 20 countries, and one hundred million lives, why should Marx's followers deserve another chance?
As there's really no old school Republican conservatives left. I say let's all band together and work to destroy both of today's useless major parties and create a system that doesn't try to sell the BS that there's only two possible solutions to every problem.
This is what I've been saying, Burdell. It's them against, ALL of us. We need to stop the infighting and start going after the real enemies here. It's not you, or me. It's THEM. The people screwing us on both sides of the aisle and running this country into the ground.
- Military/ federal workforce being purged due to mandates
- Constitutionalists valuing freedom, resisting vax continuing to be portrayed as the enemy
- Green New Deal being implemented
- Radical leftist social agenda being implemented and children successfully being indoctrinated by them
- Election system comprimised
- Extreme partisan censorship
- All major news networks complicit
Oh, good grief.
Lie down before you hurt yourself.

Right now it's got the feeling of a likeness to the SS Gestopo. Coming from Joseph Heinrich Himmler himself.

Oh I’m not defending communism. I’m just explaining to yall what Marxism actually is and how it differs from communism. Just call the lefties you don’t like communists like you used to not too long ago. This weird rise of the word “Marxist” just kinda reeks of uninformed parroting. It would be like if lefties suddenly started calling all right wing strong arming “Randian” (after Ayn Rand and Objectivism). There are both right wing and left wing authoritarian movements, fascism and communism respectively.

But...I am not uninformed. I am a refugee from communism and I was active duty during the Cold War. In other words, my opinion and hatred of Marxism, and whatever derivatives, came from life experience as well as from literature.
Do you think that the Marxist/communist mobs that went on killing rampages in their countries are any more informed of Marx? Most of the Chinese who waved their little red book as they conducted revolutionary 'trials' could barely read what Mao and the Party assigned them. There are plenty of testimonies from East Germans who said they cared little for what their government said about Marx. Their obedience to their government came from fear, not ideological and moral respect, as one would expect of an educated citizenry. When in public and compelled, they parroted whatever the government want.
Do you think the North Koreans who gathered around their 'Great Leader' understands more than Americans about the tenets of Marx? When we say 'uninformed' we mean that to be 'informed' is to have listened to both sides. Before the advent of the Internet, how many democrats/capitalists were allowed in communist countries to offer their side of the story? Now look at US when Marx is taught in universities and even celebrated in the US Congress. Viktor Belenko, the MIG-25 pilot who defected with his jet to JPN in 1976, for a while was convinced that New York City was a CIA creation just for him. Belenko was not just a pilot but a MIG-25 pilot, meaning he was one step below cosmonaut status. He was crem de la creme of the Soviet state. Belenko and I are hardly 'uninformed'.
