Heh, I have friends who think these ships out at sea aren't cargo ships at all, but China military waiting for the right moment to invade and attack the US, and Biden and his puppet masters are all for it. The great reset they call it, or the coming of the New World Order by the death of the patriotic American. I guess this is why major social media banned all the conspiracy theory sites, afraid people might be talking about this very thing.

I've been on this issue since the end of last year and I have read nothing from the 'trade' articles (those in shipping etc.) that have talked about specific federal regulations that are causing the back up.
I seriously would like to know specifically what federal policy is partly responsible, recognizing any issue has many factors influencing it.

Have you read about State of CA environmental regulations mandating truckers that are affecting the number of truckers eligible to handle port transport? Shelf ‘em.

Yes. There is overlapping oversight affecting the industry, like the EPA and the FMCSA.
Your insistence on arguing this down to a nub is just adorable.

You are either baiting her or being obtuse on purpose. Either way you are not interested in real debate. Right?
But to answer the question quote, in this instance YES. always have. its in t he constitution and CFR and I suspect you know why, but are obfuscating for ??? reason.
To those not following: ever been to cali on vacation? Put 2 and 2 together.

But the federal legislation was suspended until January 2022....so it isn't in effect right now.

Everything I have read from logistics companies, shipping, etc....suggest the shortage of drivers is the issue and while California's legislation may have an impact it isn't significant. I cannot find anything suggesting any policy implemented by this federal administration has impacted the jam.

You don’t know what you are talking about.
Please read up on the combined existing regulations affecting truckers nationwide, but particularly in CA.
Read more and post less, moneill. You really aren’t as sharp on this topic as you think you are.

'everything I have read' is left speak for 'stuff on unmoderated forums'
I would note the lack of knowledge of the basic concepts to be the biggest red flag.
but on topic, many many more people should be spitting mad at this. IF for no other reason than the chinese chicken walmart now sells is sitting in containers whose RU is about to run outta fuel....
