I disagree. There are still immutable physiological differences that gives those born male an advantage over those born female. Some but not all are issues related to lung capacity, musculoskeletal structure, and body fat percentage.

Let girls grow up playing sports with competition from other girls. Transsexual females, even when on hormone blockers, still have all physical attributes of men: longer, thicker muscles, fast twitch muscles, height, and weight.

It’s time to stop the insanity. Start trans sports leagues, and stop forcing women to compromise.

The Texas Senate passed a bill Friday that requires public school students to compete on sports teams that correspond with the biological sex that is listed on their birth certificate instead of what they identify with.
House Bill 25 passed the Texas House of Representatives with a 76-54 vote Thursday night and now, after the Senate passed the legislation, it will head to Gov. Greg Abbott's (R) desk if the House approves an amendment to the legislation's terminology.) ( MY OP great move by TX )
Makes total sense. Anyone who opposes this has mental issues in my opinion.

What?

Texas has just had the kahunas to uphold freedoms and you're critical of it?

I don't get it - the libcoms are forcing their views and desires on everyone else which is taking away freedom loving folk's freedom - don't forget, the libs are anti-free speech (for everyone else) - and you are not happy that Texas pushes back to ensure freedom. How is that being a nanny state law?

At least Texas was smart enough to confine their bill to K-12 only and not interfere with collegiate association policies. Those should be left to "sports governing bodies" and no one else.

One major flaw to this bill is that we could see another trans male (female to male) on "medically prescribed testosterone" being forced to compete with females. This was the case with Mack Beggs, a trans male wrestler from a few years back. I do not believe this new bill addresses that.

State law, not federal law. This is a good one, it protects girls sports from being taken over by biological boys from taking it over.

only the best and brightest! Communities usually have sports programs which are designed as more of a fun/exercise activity for the rest. YWCA perhaps. Equality is a principle we can't afford to ignore anymore....

or should we build in a slug quota?

It's good to see someone standing up for women's rights these days. I was beginning to think the whole movement was dead. And it takes a right-leaning state to reinstate those rights. How ironic, eh, leftists?
