You are delusional if you think the mortgage interest deduction still exists. It is not possible to exceed the standard deduction. The only way you can is if you bundle it with OTHER deductions. The average Joe isn't getting it.

How on earth would YOU know what rich people think?

I was against taxes when I was young. Why? Because I worked for two county governments and I saw the massive waste and abuse of the taxpayer $$ and it makes me sick. Did then. Does now. Politicians have no respect for people who work hard.
