Do you realize that would either massively reduce government revenue, or you would have to set such a high rate to get the current revenue that people making under $50k per year (over half the population) wouldn't have enough to live on....
The government collects way more than it needs in order to fulfill it's constitutional functions..... because we've given it way more power than it was ever supposed to have.
And how much YOU need to live on is not MY problem.
