They can call it whatever they want, I still won't go back. I was censored one too many times so I deleted FB, Twatter and Instagram. If anyone wants to communicate with me, they will have to know my phone number or email address.

Maybe facebook, Firestone tires, the Washington Redskins, Cadabra and Backrub can all form a support group for businesses that changed their names.

Hint, the last 2 are very very famous companies.

Spoiler
Amazon and Google.

Typical right-wing opinion based on feelings rather than facts. Facebook simply supplies content from your friends and groups to which you subscribe. You can unfriend anyone whose posts you don't like or unsubscribe from groups you joined then changed your mind.

You'd of course know all that if you actually ever tried it.

Used Facebook for a bit in college. Quickly realized it was probably a bad idea to put my entire life on the internet. Haven't used it since (approaching 2 decades) but if you go to my Facebook page you can see that I'm a student currently studying computer science at USC.

It screams Forget! Please forget our past deeds and current policy.

In the meantime 'Meta' might have a harder time attracting or keeping soccer moms and grannies. Face and book are friendlier more common words. Meta? I guess he's targeting tech savy hipsters.

There will be virtual games, virtual vacations, virtual company retreats. At first it'll seem like play, but over time it'll seem like an extension of our real selves in ways that Facebook could never be. Facebook and other social media are two-dimensional extensions of the self. VR will be a powerfully-addictive three-dimensional extension of the self, and it will be a world that will quickly integrate virtual world entertainment with real world commerce.

Imagine that you're at some virtual retreat or some virtual tradeshow. You meet with the people's avatars the same way you would meet with their real world identities. You're all horsing around, having fun with the experience collectively. You then see the Papa John's booth or the Whole Food's booth - "Oh, I just remembered I needed groceries, and eh, what the heck, I'll order a pizza too" as you and other cohorts stooge your way around in the virtual world while sitting inside your makeshift office wearing a headset all day long.
Facebook will never get that much personal information about me. Um...No.
