Don't expect to win NJ but am cautiously optimistic to win Va or at least win back the house and senate there.
The seats in the Senate of Virginia are not up for election until 2023.

so.....they only hire non white teachers? Sounds like quota and Affirmative Action.
Democrats are all about hiring based on identity politics.

McAuliffe has an odd way of trying to claw back some support the final day of his campaign: Closing with Randi Weingarten (despised by both parents and teachers) and lying about an imaginary Trump/Youngkin rally. Sad.

I never knew kids could only learn from teachers of the same race. The only reason McAwful would say something this colossally stupid is if he knew that the fix is in, which it likely is. Unverified mail in ballots will seal the deal for the Democrats, just like in 2020.

So, the reason why Asian kids do so poorly at NYC schools is that there are almost no Asian teachers?

Wait…What?

Asian kids do very well in general AND there are almost no Asian teachers.

Equality does not mean every single profession and job has to correspond to the racial makeup of the general population. Using your logic, since blacks are 13% of the population, they should be 13% of the NBA.

I believe in equality of opportunity, and I do think we can pursue policies to help those held back by economic circumstances or other hardships.

This whole fiasco shows why McAuliffe is a dud of a candidate. Any normal person would say there should be an attempt for educators to representative of their students- more minorities (including Asian and Hispanic), more males, and often more folks from the geographic area they serve. The last item is particularly important in a state like Va where mountain areas, cities, and high AA areas can often feel teachers are being imported to look down on them. Instead he makes a Hillary-esque comment that excites no one except his opponents.

Its bizarre that he keeps trotting out 60 & 70 somethings or evoking Trump (who is out of office) to excite voters instead of addressing issues. I cannot understand how high profile Dems keep running these pathetic campaigns.

Well, beyond faux cries of racism directed at all manner of opponents (black, white and otherwise), the Dems ain't got much this cycle.

(Given as the Dems are the party of slavery and Jim Crow, giggles and snickers are a perfectly appropriate response. But again, it's all they got.)
