I don't think so. That's just a technicality.

And that's the good news.

The bad news is, the Democrats don't have anybody better.
Amy Klobuchar

Joe Manchin

Kyrsten Sinema

It's going to be Michelle Obama in 2024 vs. Trump or DeSantis

I can see Manchin as he seems to be a reasonable Dem.
But the progressives/socialists have a pretty deep claw into the party now so who knows what the next election may bring.

The Liberals extremists will just keep taking a bigger and bigger chunk of the Democrat party until Xi Jinping is the nominee.

A poll asking Biden voters of they expected Biden to run for a second term might be interesting.

IMO, not many did. The problem is the VP he picked. The ds will be in a world of hurt next time around.

I wonder how much sway the progressives have within the party, apparently more than I'm comfortable with. I keep hoping the more moderate dems will take the party back, but I'm starting to lose hope on that.

I think that's about right, I always considered him a one term "dragonslayer" but too old for a full 8 years. I really have no idea how Kamala might do if she is the heir to the Resolute Desk vs Trump (or whoever). I don't want Joe to be in the race in 2024 either & would've voted the same as the poll, but I would still vote for the Dem.
