Arbery's mother, Wanda Cooper-Jones, told reporters outside the courthouse she found it "devastating" that only one Black juror will be seated. Still, she said of the final jury: "I'm very confident that they'll make the right decision after seeing all the evidence."

Her attorney, S. Lee Merritt, said he still believes the trial will end in a conviction, though defense lawyers had "created a jury that was more favorable for their defendants, an almost entirely white jury."
So I am confused. (To the people that are complaining that the jury is nearly all white) Isn't the jury supposed to "look like" the people on trial? I thought that blacks on trial demanded these days that any jury they may face should "look like them"? Does that new standard only apply to non-white people?

More bogus woke nonsense. A mostly white jury is capable of determining the truth of what happened between a Group of mostly white actors. One person was black and one juror is black. How much fairer can you get?

Good point. Arbery isn't on trial, so by that logic the jury should be mostly white as the people on trial are white.

Besides the point that assuming a jury member can only be 'fair' towards defendants that are the same race as them is stupid as hell, people are forgetting how woke we are these days. I sure wouldn't want to have my name released in the media if I wanted to find the defendants here not guilty. Being doxxed and your property destroyed is a powerful threat.

I think these people only want that standard apllied to POC. I think when it comes to whites, in some people's minds, retribution, retaliation and revenge for the ills of slavery and Jim Crow are fine and dandy with them, even though the great vast majority of us aren't even descended from slave owners or people that so much as looked at a black sideways.

it depends. it should look like the person on trial, if the progressives have deemed the micro-intersectional group the individual belongs to, is part of their confederation or not. Then the jury should look like the victim if the victim is part of the correct micro-intersectional group.

"...one such juror had written on her juror questionnaire that Arbery was shot "due to his color" and had told attorneys she felt the defendants were guilty."

put yourself in her shoes..

If you son was murdered, by a gang of (insert race) and the jury to try that gang was of the same race, you might have the same worries...

So...definitely not even close to open and ahut.
They should not of chase him in the first place 1)
2) He visibly had nothing on him so why get out of the truck and confront him
Even with a damn near all white jury, these 2 inbreeds are going to Jail, and then to Hell after that when judgement comes for them.
I'm confident the jury will get this one right
