No. They look different shade tan to me. Light color tan. And not white. They stay indoors a lot though. It's a family thing for them. All the way to health issues they are together on this topic of being white. How do i know this? I am perceptive. I know they want to stay out of the sun and not get dark color skin. So they come out at nights only and work at nights only.
I've never heard of that one. I've seen plenty of Latinos outside all day and once again this isn't about skin color but racial genetics.
To sum up this thread. No, never should most Latinos be considered to be plain ole white because most of them aren't, racially/genetically. As I said, skin color is irrelevant as there are darker skin whites and lighter skinnned blacks for example. Doesn't change the facts of their racial genetics and since when does skin color have anything to do with it?

What if the person is majority white? Are you using the one drop rule on them? If they have a drop of something else, they can’t be white?
Italians, Jews, Greeks, and even Irish in some cases didn’t used to be considered white. Will Hispanics/Latinos eventually just become considered as whites, especially as many assimilate into American culture? Some Mexicans, Cubans, Puerto Rican’s, etc. are whiter looking than Italians for example.
They were white originally before there was such a thing as "hispanic" ethnicity.
When I was a kid in the 70s and 80s, Hispanics were considered white. Then somewhere along the line, someone decided they should be victims, and they can’t be victims if they are white. So they stopped being white.
The whole concept was politically fabricated. They made up a fake victim narrative for them too.
In Texas … our Tejanos are offended by the terms - Latino, Latina & especially LatinX.
When I was a kid, they were still being called "Spanish American" by adults - and that was a white-ethnic term.
