So the greater amount of participation indicates what's better? Is that a universal rule? you know that's stinkin' thinkin'.

The world looks to the US for innovation in medical research and pharmaceuticals. Why? because private enterprise leads the way. Why again? because our system provides opportunity to make money. Profit is the engine of innovation during peace time.

However I never said our healthcare system is great... you assumed that. Our bio research/health care system is the mother of innovation, but I digress. An example of goverment run healthcare is the VA. Maybe you should see how that was going before you throw stones. Trump fixed that by using PRIVATE not government run hospitals to improve services for our beloved veterans.

However...The issue is not health care, that was an example of how the left is trying to insert 'equity' where opportunity currently exists. It's part-n-parcel of the left's agenda on how to take/remove freedoms, little by little.

The Democrats are a rag-tag collection of special interests united by one belief -- That more access to the nation-state's monopoly on coercion will get them (or at lest, most of them) what they seek -- at the expense of a smaller and less-popullar group forced to bear most of the cost..

This is te same mentality as that of gang-rapists.

My question was why don`t other countries want an insurance based healthcare system like ours? You can`t answer that obviously. I have a friend who is retired after 20 years in the Army and has multiple health problems. The VA in Pittsburgh treats him like royalty and have been doing so for 12 years. Trump was still buying porn stars 12 years ago.

This, I have quite a few leftist friends. They insist that Democrats aren't "progressive" enough. Of course that is the opposite of what the Dems should do, look what happened on Tuesday. Leftists were crushed everywhere. But I simply smile and nod. Not worth fighting about.

Ahhhh.... there it is, "I have a friend" therefore I know. You're a hack and creating rabbit holes.

I answered your stupid question with facts. Go sulk.

I sure hope so.

The danger here is that the dems convince everyone that they have changed and then, in the midterms, they get votes.

Then we will really up a creek without a paddle.

No matter what the pollsters say there is massive anger out there about the vaccine mandates. Thank you Joe for doubling down on that immediately.

Also remember, if a Trucker from no place can win with a you tube video, YOU CAN TOO. Run! Give me a name on the ballot against the incumbant.

The dems understand to build a society in 'their' image sacrifices must be made. They know a massive shift left causes consternation and division among us, but allows their agenda to be implemented. See Obama care as an example, it's still with us. The dems have no problem with losing if 'their' agenda is implemented. They will shoot their wounded, and implement the Uriah strategy to achieve 'their' ends.

Sooner or later there has to be a reckoning about the direction and moral fabric of our nation... and society at large. Go to far, the results are a back lash (see Virginia) refuse to let the tide swing and dig in/double down... then a revolt will materialize.

I sense a revolt is at hand. No, not the shooting type, but the type that says FU, we're not gonna take this anymore.

Not to go to much off topic here but generations change over the years.

The Baby Boomers were among the liberals of the 60s and 70s.

Since then, many of them have learned the world is a much more complicated place. Of course you still have your Marxist Baby Boom college professors still stuck in a 50 year endless Democrat Party circle loop (always ready to fight the good fight against the return of Richard Nixon!) and have not changed their ideology a single ounce. Sad.

But most people are open minded and gradually update their views at least somewhat over the years. It will happen to the Millennials as time goes by. In fact, I see it happening already to Millennials I know - possibly being pushed faster along by the far leftward swing of the Democratic Party.
