Right now, it's a giant bottomless money pit that spends too much money and gets nothing done. How is it that we spend trillions on "infrastructure" every few years and our roads, bridges and airports are STILL falling apart?

Enough is enough.
What are you talking about? The last Republican administration that took on a serious infrastructure project was Eisenhower's. Surely, you remember the interstate system.

Coincidentally, the last Republican President to the leave the nation in better economic shape than he found it was Eisenhower.

It's "social infrastructure" spending bill. Haven't you seen the changes in it's description in the news ?
It's a social spending bill.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she'd bring the $1.75 trillion social spending bill to the floor for a vote before Thanksgiving, after Congress' budget office can analyze the bill.

And what have the various democratic administrations done about that? Absolutely nothing. They just asked for more and more and more money. We have $30 trillion in national debt. That's enough money to build 3,000 nuclear powerplants at $10 billion a pop.

The fact that we PAY for infrastructure maintenance through gas taxes and other excise taxes and our infrastructure's still falling apart is unforgivable.

Frankly the government needs to get out of the infrastructure business altogether. They tried, they can't even get their **** together enough to put together a coherent project proposal that is acceptable to the people.

When the gov't says "We are here to help" - it really translates to "We are here to tax and wastefully spend"

Yep, I listened to a radio talk show host yesterday read some of the "goodies and giveaways" included in the bill. He was reading directly from pages of the bill they passed and giving the numbers of the pages.

Absolutely stomach turning and disgusting the pork and outright looting by special and corporate interests and bogus "social" programs included in it. All under the age-old deceptive ploy of helping "American families".

Our country is being pillaged. But most Americans are too distracted by all of these other pressing concerns to pay that much attention.

And the powers that be know that. At this point, there is nothing we can do about it anyway. The harsh reality is that government by the people for the people ended a long time ago.

This. TBH the federal budget needs to be cut by about 80-90% and taxes cut accordingly.

Come on here. Obama's big infrastructure bill did nothing but repave roads, private airports and created thousands of turtle crossings.

Don't blame D or R. Blame Congress as a whole.

Our dollars will have less value when the print more to cover this. Inflation is being their goal to destroy our economy. They will not back away from any destructive action because they want to destroy us financially .

The common people will struggle more and more as food prices and gas take a bigger bite out of their everyday expenses and their credit cards will be maxed out. Heating a home will be much more expensive for all people. Those that have to commute to work will have it much harder than those who work at home .

Products will rise and be outrageously expensive. We will get sticker shock looking at what used to be cheap eating. More food stamps will be issued so the food stamp crowd won't care how high it is..it is free. Less products on the shelves because of illegals coming here and buying up food for free.

More crime as the people become hungry . More break ins and looting . This is what the progressives are working toward to take over. The ruling class are evil and showing us how evil they are as they push up inflation. The companies will just pass on the extra costs to the consumer and the government will go broke or tax us to death to pay the bills. Americans last. Illegals first. The Obama Biden administration is pushing full steam ahead. They want to destroy us quickly . Many are blind and tyrants have come into power and many people never had a clue. They are too brainwashed and stupid to wake the heck up. And of course those tyrants know it.

The same doom and gloom was said about ACA. Biden might have been the architect of Obama moving on it so early in his administration. At any any rate he is doing the same thing.

We’ll said.
I completely agree.
Hope that things can be reversed in the future.
