Biden gets his ‘infrastructure week,’ crossing another goal off Trump’s to-do list
President Biden entered office determined to rip to shreds most everything that his predecessor put in place. His advisers kept lists of President Donald Trump’s policies and how they could immediately and methodically undo as many of them as possible, and on his first day in office, he did just that.
But there were also subtle areas of overlap, and over the past three months, Biden has demonstrated a willingness, and ability, to carry out some of the policies Trump could not.
First, he withdrew from Afghanistan, a chaotic and messy culmination of a two-decades-long war. He has pressed for the paid family leave benefits and prescription drug changes that Trump called for but never managed to implement.
And on Saturday, Biden beamed at his biggest legislative accomplishment, one that Trump had chased but never achieved.
Joe Biden signed pension relief, keeping more than 100 pension plans solvent and providing retirement benefits to millions.
Joe Biden reduced the Donald Trump-supported pay gap between women and men working in the White House and has more women and minorities as part of his Cabinet as well as key advisers than any other president.
Joe Biden released rules that protect patients from unexpected medical bills and ordered an increase in funding to address America’s mental illness and addiction crisis.
Joe Biden terminated a 2018 Donald Trump directive that put up roadblocks to families trying to help undocumented immigrant children; reinstated a program cancelled by Donald Trump that allows minors from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to reunite with a parent living lawfully in the United States; directed that children separated and incarcerated at the border be reunited with their parents in the United States or their country of origin.
Yep, he did a great job of signing, too bad he has no idea what he signed.... to sit there and tout his accomplishments seems a little disingenuous. The guy should not be parking cars much less running our once great country.

Hi Tillman, you’ve got these points in the “accomplishments” column? While making your points about Joe Biden, you referenced DJT almost as many times....
Biden ended the war in Afghanistan after Trump sold out to the Taliban, releasing thousands of Taliban prisoners.
Biden administration got the infrastructure bill passed. Trump talked endlessly about infrastructure. Did nothing.
Biden administration overseeing record job growth. After taking over during the longest job and economic growth in recent history, Trump managed to turn this around, leaving behind a net job loss not seen since Hoover.
Aside from going along with the Republicans in signing a huge tax giveaway to the wealthy (over 80% of the tax breaks went to the top 10%) and running up the national debt by some $8 billion, Trump did little but BS about everything from Covid to the more affordable/covering more Americans health plan that he was always just a couple weeks away from revealing.
From vaccinations to adding jobs, Biden is the real deal.
Just as after the GOP depression of 2009, Democrats showed the country how to get the economy going.
It is now growing again. Biden is the real deal. The GOP has no platform other then complain about everything making the economy stronger.
