It will probably be the most tastefully decorated ship in the fleet

I miss the days when gayness wasn’t pushed on us all 24/7, but at the end of the day, if gay people can do the job, and many can, that’s all that matters.

Personally, I would find it disgusting to serve on a ship named Harvey Milk. But I understand I’m getting older and young people don’t think like I do.

I always find it sad and strange when I see a Black person who sees nothing wrong with homosexuality.

So you're saying it's goal is to dump its' load into others of its' kind? Seems appropriate, maybe even fabulous, to name it thus.

Just another step in keeping straight guys from entering the military.

Obviously I am not actually referring to color, smart a**.

Give me one GOOD reason to name a naval ship after a gay person who had zero to do with the military in any important capacity at all. You can't. Because there isn't. I could see it if Patton was gay or something. But not this. There is only one reason for this. You may as well start naming ships other ridiculous and random names: Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Papa Smurf, Clara Bow, etc.

And if we are so "fearsome," why did a bunch of backwoods goat herders just kick our butt? We are not fearsome, we are pathetic. China or Russia could wipe us off the map right now if they wanted to. The only reason China doesn't is because we are making them rich. But that will only last so long. And Putin doesn't because he really doesn't want to rule a nation of freaks.

I was always against naming ships after anyone, other than those who were in the military.

Well, jokes aside, what happened, is normal part of the process.
Country is being reset.
For the process of reset, history of the country needs to be changed. How do you do that? Slowly but steadily obscuring historical events, skewing their meaning, introducing small lies that slowly become accepted as the truths and, soon enough, you have a brave new world that forgot its roots.
What happens to the tree with no roots? Wind blows and it topples.

Part of the historical reset is to - yes, remove statues, rename streets and ships and so on.

It's those roots, that are cut, one by one.

Its hard to recognize when you're in it, but we are in the midst of a revolution
