I miss the days when gayness wasn’t pushed on us all 24/7, but at the end of the day, if gay people can do the job, and many can, that’s all that matters.

I'm black and see nothing wrong with homosexuality. Color and sexual preference have nothing to do with each other, unless, you're attracted to certain levels of pigment.

Seems like you are nothing but unsettled by the naming of a ship after a gay icon. This has nothing to do with the U.S. fighting ability, we still have the most fearsome fighting force in history. You need to get ahold of yourself. Life without prejudices is freer.
Give me one GOOD reason to name a naval ship after a gay person who had zero to do with the military in any important capacity at all. You can't. Because there isn't. I could see it if Patton was gay or something. But not this. There is only one reason for this. You may as well start naming ships other ridiculous and random names: Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Papa Smurf, Clara Bow, etc.
And if we are so "fearsome," why did a bunch of backwoods goat herders just kick our butt? We are not fearsome, we are pathetic. China or Russia could wipe us off the map right now if they wanted to. The only reason China doesn't is because we are making them rich. But that will only last so long. And Putin doesn't because he really doesn't want to rule a nation of freaks.
