In real life, you can't place bets on every roulette slot. The most coverage you can bet on is by color, and even then, winning a color then subsequently losing a color results in a net loss. That is how casinos work. They wouldn't exist if the odds weren't stacked in their favor.

It's a rough analogy to illustrate how once there is a large enough gathering of capital, the controller of said capital can place enough bets that it's impossible to lose. It's pretty telling that he has, at the very best, added a zero to his inherited wealth. The Walton heirs have added more to their net worth just through passive investment than Trump has with his active management.

Great business sense! Super deal maker!
/sarcastic, in case you couldn't tell.
Made himself into a billionaire. Obviously an excellent deal maker.

Here is some info for you. Average salt for NYC is $18,543. I would imagine Trump's gold plated penthouse has higher than average state and local taxes. His permanent residence is now Mar A Lago (last I heard)

A Tax Foundation report found NYC and San Francisco counties pay the most in state and local taxes.
NYC filers pay $18,543 on average, while Bay area filers pay $10,130.

More like a cheat. It's pretty low to not pay your carpenters, painters, plumbers, electricians and floor layers on a construction job.

I'm beyond the wondering stage. When has any president made so many decisions that hurt America and Americans?

Not in my lifetime, and I'm older than dirt.

Better than being subsidized by the tax payers and still not being worth $8 billion.

"The hotel, Mr. Trump bragged in “Trump: The Art of the Deal,” his 1987 best seller, “was a hit from the first day. Gross operating profits now exceed $30 million a year.”

But that book, and numerous interviews over the years, make little mention of a crucial factor in getting the hotel built: an extraordinary 40-year tax break that has cost New York City $360 million to date in forgiven, or uncollected, taxes, with four years still to run, on a property that cost only $120 million to build in 1980."

Roughly a third of his net worth is from tax breaks, not actually making money.

He's just a welfare queen.

Trump needs to back off of Women directly and blacks indirectly and should care a little more about climate change. And I mean back off in that he has shown negative predispositions towards them rather than being straight up misogynistic or racist.

Otherwise he was a stellar President.
