"Four times as many" is used SOLELY as a propaganda device for maximum impact on the listener. If the actual numbers were broadcast, it really wouldn't have much of an impact on the listener. Because the actual numbers are MINISCULE compared to the population, even if they are four times higher than they were. It's like saying four times as many people were hit with a meteorite. What's the actual number? Well... let's see... it was three people out of three hundred fifty million... now it is twelve people out of three hundred fifty million.
Many years ago, there was a book called "How to Lie With Statistics." EVERYONE needs to read that book. It was the first book required in the undergrad math/statistics program at my old university. Intro to Statistics 110... you read that book first.
Which shows you Biden administration has handled the vaccine terribly. First it was we are not taking the Trump vaccine then it was you must take the Biden vaccine. Mandating it is a terrible idea in America. If it didn't become politicized and the messaging was you are putting yourself at more risk more people would get it. Instead the messaging is getting it will stop the pandemic and protect others when almost everyone understands people with the vaccine still spread it at a high rate and they are being lied to.
