Like it or not, Oldglory, Republicans really do hate poor people. This was quite overwhelmingly proven as true when rural Republicans in Oklahoma turned out in huge numbers to vote NO on expanded Medicaid as offered by ObamaCare. The liberal vote from a handful of urban counties just barely overcame that onslaught, and got it passed. Furthermore, Republicans without a doubt deeply hate Democrats for standing for government welfare and more of it. It helps expand why Republicans swiped control from Democrats throughout the South.
Republican use Christian religionism all the time to justify why abortion must be banned and why same sex marriage should not be legal. It explains why evangelicals strongly support Trump, even though he is a Great Sinner.
As far as racism is concerned, you'll quite likely find that Republicans governors hire fewer minorities on their staff than Democrat governors. Women, too. At least that is true with the Oklahoma governor.

Not really, just pointing out how inconsistent Biden and the rest are about preventing covid. Pretty hypocritical and incompetent or just one of many reasons they are incompetent.
Actually I don’t believe Biden nor the Democrats are really concerned about covid as they are about power.
Obviously, with Trump and Trumpers, normalcy is not within easy reach of any administration that has to clean up after them. Trump soiled the nest so bigly that it takes some time. Add to that a pandemic and irrational anti-vax right-wingers and COVID continues, wave after wave, keeping the country in social and economic risk. Mandated vaccinations will help. Added anti-vax restrictions will help. Lockdown, as in other countries, is an option for non-vaccinated.
Sorry, but the conspiracy theory nuts who insist that the covid vaccines are going to destroy immunity systems and kill everybody within several years has made a lot of people too cowardly to get vaccinated for covid. The government along with the mass media does next to nothing to debunk them.
I'm against mandated vaccines by Biden, because that is one of the last things hospitals need. With a shortage of nurses they don't need any of them to resign because of that. Hospitals that require people to wear masks and having their temperatures taken when entering is doing enough for a safeguard. Other businesses may be short handed and don't need any workers quitting from being too afraid to take covid vaccines.
There are a lot of healthy people who don't mind risking coming down sick with covid. After all, the illness still has a reputation as a mild and brief illness for most healthy people under age 65. So there will be a lot of opposition to lockdowns or shutdowns.
Well you may have to after Biden gets threw destroying the country.
