Every other country uses it. So do you think it would even be possible?

Sure it is, just need one generation in school to learn it. Many foreign folks who came here already know it. I try to get it while worked overseas.

I remember them making a big push for it when I was in grade school, but it seemed to peter out by the time I hit junior high.

I did use it when I was stationed in Germany. I'd be for switching.

I remember when this was tried around 1980. Road signs started to be in kilometers, radio stations started reporting the temperatures in Celsius. I think it got to be too much when the temps stayed mostly below zero for most of the winter. The people didn't like it and didn't want it, so back we went to the English system. I think that we would get a similar pushback if this was tried today.

It would be a colossal waste of money and productivity.

And I don't think we'd want a repeat of Air Canada 143.

3 countries use the imperial system - USA, Liberia and Myanmar. But the medical and scientific people all use it . I think back then maybe was harder - but with new math, kids are learning it.

No because the Metric system is racist like all forms of numeracy. Just use words like HELLA BIG and HECKA tall and mo’f___ cold and end numeric measuring all together.

I don’t like the metric system. I’m always spending that extra step converting metrics so my brain can understand it.

I don’t know how fast 120KM really is, it doesn’t mean anything to me, but 75 mph, I get it completely.

That’s just one example of thousands.

I absolutely refuse to change.

But I’m surprised that leftists haven’t made this a major political issue yet? Surely, this could be another way to divide us? Probably not too many Trump supporters want the metric system.

Lol. Don’t worry if approved today you probably be in the old age home staring at a tv show by the time it was implemented. Fl still waiting to keep Daylight Savings time forever. Tic toc… The kids are getting this in school and colleges as well. Just think of all the new stuff algorithms and bit coin - coding etc etc . It probably will change in time.
