"It matters how you control your borders, not just for immigration, but it matters for drugs, terror, a whole range of other things," Biden 2007 said.
"There are certain places people can go over and under a fence, but you can't take 100 kilos of cocaine over and under a fence," Biden said. "And what you do when you have limited places where fences are in populated areas, you force these drug dealers and others around making it easier to apprehend because there's fewer places that come through."
and on Afghanistan:
"Now if you leave all the equipment behind, you might be able to do it in seven months. And you leave those billions of dollars of weapons behind, I promise they're going to be used against your grandchild and mine some day."
Biden was always a follower, never a leader. He wasn't out front on these issues, he waded in after he saw where the popular sentiment was.
It's curious how the Democrat voters never wanted to vote for Biden as president, when he was in his prime, and was still able to string two coherent sentences together. It was only after his mental faculties diminished, that he was finally just perfect to be president. Or more likely, his diminished mental state makes him a useful tool for the puppeteers to pull his strings. They get none of the blame, and to enact all the horrible and destructive policies, while Joe takes all the heat. Biden is kept in a bubble of lies in and alternate reality, and disconnected from reality, he's probably fed lies and thinks he's doing a great job.
