Up until the early 90s, it was common to have smoking sections almost everywhere, tobacco smoke, along with all the additives were much more dangerous than dried marijuana...however knowing what we do today, anyone 18+ can buy as many cigarettes as they like.
The Govt brainwashed too many people decades ago on the subject of drugs, they wanted to us believe users were dangerous...we have to get past this mentality...the govt did this for a specific reason, (and they were not concerned with the health or safety aspects. LOL)

Doing drugs in front of children, while sitting at the park, would have been very taboo not long ago.
The normalization of marijuana is just getting weird. It's still odd to see/hear people from all walks of life openly smoking and talking about weed.
I agree. I smell it in parks, wafting from windows in quiet neighboorhoods, and on city street corners. Its become as accepted as alcohol, which has a culture all its own. Difference is booze kills many thousands per year.
There has long been weed themed films and shows, plus "legalize it" groups pushing for change. We had Cheech and Chong back in the 70's with hit movies about weed fueled adventures.

It's more legally accepted than alcohol. In NYC you cannot drink alcohol in public, but you can smoke weed.
Nothing wrong with using in front of children imo...why would there be any problems?
I have to laugh at this kind of antiquated mentality...that Marijuana is of the devil himself, and anyone using it will suddenly snap and start killing people. LOL
You can blame the feds for this, they are the ones that wanted us to believe these drugs were pure evil, and users become killers after just one use.
Try and get a job with weed in your system. No decent employer will touch a pothead.
Cigarettes don't get people high. Nicotine is not that kind of drug.
Cigarettes kill over 500,000 per year...its also a stimulant.
Smoking cigarettes is MUCH MUCH more dangerous than smoking Marijuana, its not just the burning tobacco, its the umpteen other chemicals burning.
I would rather my kids be around someone smoking marijuana versus someone smoking cigarettes.
