My point is that a truly neutral AG/FBI would not have gotten involved in the first place. But since THIS AG/FBI got involved, we should not expect neutrality even though we can demand it. This is a 3rd World level 'Justice' dept.

Well, the AG/FBI involvement in any of this remains to be seen, doesn't it? Has anything beyond a memo actually happened at this point? So, IF you can demonstrate that the FBI is somehow less involved with this specific scenario than other scenarios, you'll have a point. Until then.....

I think he should have been arrested, just for being a jerk, but from what I could read on several articles, he did not communicate an actual threat of violence. Only that he had a group of 1000 soldiers to back him up.
It's not like he was Kyle Rittenhause, going to another state to shoot people for having a protest. He just said some words, and when it got too intense, the police escorted him out.
(I think he was way out of line, but if I try to view the world through Right-wing standards, and I immagine he was fighting for gun rights, or to protect strangers from blacks speaking up for their rights, then in that light, I think the right would be defending him. )
