I've been reading the book "Outlaw platoon" about the experiences of a platoon fighting in Afghanistan. The Pakistani government clearly supported the Taliban during our occupation of Afghanistan. WHY THE F DO WE SEND THEM AID? I want them cut off entirely. Maybe 50 years from now we start helping again but WHY on earth would we send them money now?
They provided medical aid to those opposing us in Afghanistan. They allowed the fighters opposing us to regroup, resupply and train in their country. They did nothing to help us and they allowed Bin Laden to live there for years.
They obviously don't appreciate the 5 billion dollars we send them every year. Why do we do it?

We are trying to prop up the moderate Muslims in power, rather than risking the lunatic jihadists from getting the nukes in Pakistan. Our alley in the region (India) understands this, even though they are not exactly friends with Pakistan.
Buy why research anything. When an opinion comes so easily.
Or one could just read the Constitution and point out where it's Constitutional. We take money from poor Americans and give it to rich people in other countries that can take care of themselves.

I am sure the politicians and everyone knows that it is not going to stop it. Pakistan likes China, and its Belt and Road initiative. They have always been friends.

I does not seem the lunatic jihadists are in charge or were ever in charge of Pakistan. And it was the moderate, current, and always been in power admin that has been aiding the TBan, and AQ. Remember Bin Laden was hiding out right by their military academy.
