Glad the vast majority were vaccinated. The way people were dying in nursing homes in the beginning was horrible. Still the loss of life is very sad.

Prior to vaccinations we’d expect no more than 30% to die in nursing homes. Now around 10% did. Some improvement but I’m not impressed.

Prove your allegation that anything stated in the article or my post is a "straight up lie".

For elderly people its much higher. Regardless we should not be pressuring people to get vaccinated. Its very un-american.

However, while it is tempting to be political during this pandemic (because so many were against Trump), we should really not look at dealing with this pandemic through a political lens.
I agree, it should have never been used politically as it had been and still is.

Basically a straight up lie to claim this is evidence of vaccines not working.
Those who died had serious underlying health issues.

Nursing home residents were among the first to be vaccinated.
We now know immunocompromised people have lower vaccine effectiveness and are more likely to have a serious breakthrough infection.

It has been known since July, the efficacy of the vaccine begins to wane at the 5-6 month mark in otherwise healthy people.

The Delta variant is more than twice as contagious as prior strains.

That some politicians are fund raising off their stance on vaccine is disgusting.

All staff and all patients are vaxxed, so, yeah, that was expected.

Of or with?

Serious health issues.

8 folks passed in a nursing home over a 7 week period. Were those the only resident deaths?
