It will be about what the fact checkers say... not what actually happened.

I think in the past, it was informally the mainstream media... NYT, WaPo, ABC, NBC, etc... that were the defacto standards of truth... until we found out they weren't. Now they have created another layer.

--------------------------------

FYI - This is the account of the story that the fact checkers are debunking.

Wife of Pfizer’s CEO dies after complications from the vaccine

The website is the Conservative Beaver.

I would not be surprised if websites like this are fake sites that liberals are running in order to create this mis-information "crisis".
When a high school guidance counselor determines that a student has zero marketable skills, they always suggest they go into the fact-checker business, since people need zero skills to do that.

We routinely see people who never even took biology in college, fact checking PHDs and claiming the medical doctors are wrong, deleting their social media posts and accusing them of spreading medical misinformation.

What's funny is that if the fact checkers claim something is legitimate that these right wingers support...

Then the fact checker is legit.

Same way with polls. Trump at 41% approval? Polls are fake. Biden is at 41%. Polls are right as rain.

The problem with these guys is they believe the right wing sites that are usually wrong... or purposely provide misinformation because they know what these people want to see and hear.

Thus, they are often at odds with the Fact Checker sites.

Sad, really.

No kidding, Snopes and Politifact routinely declare things as non-factual, by citing extraneous details which have no bearing on anything said, as a way to call a statement false. If you accuse a person of murder and say a man leaped out and shot another man in the head with a pistol, Snopes will call is false, because the man was actually hopping, and the man was murdered with a revolver not a pistol, and he was shot in the head and chest. Or Snopes will determine a story is true, which claimed a Trump aide of hiding in the bushes, because Snopes says there were bushes nearby, and that's good enough for them.

Read up on Brian Timpone. Conservative who springs up thousands of sites meant to impersonate local news and spreads stories with fake bylines. This sort of weaponization of fake news is what has people screaming at school boards about CRT despite it not being part of curriculum. Exploiting the fact that people are generally more trusting of what appears to be local news.

Fact checkers are providing supporting sources and those checks can also be checked by others. Bizarre that in a case like this where it was obviously fake news that people are spouting on about who checks the checkers.

Well, most of the polling companies and fact checkers are Democrats. When Democrat polling places, like CNN for example, cite a poll with 60% Democrats, and claim trump is at 40%, people say the polls are biased, because they over-sampled Democrats.

So when the same polling companies poll Biden, and still oversampling with 60% Democrats, and he's at 40%, repubs tend to believe the polls show Biden is at low approval. Do you get it now?

Are parents.

Where they learn about CRT?

From the assignments their CHILDREN bring home from SCHOOL that were assigned by their TEACHERS.
