I am hoping governor Stitts doesn't cave to these lunatics and stop the execution.

It's sickening how this criminal is being embraced by celebrities, athletes, and school kids.

I noticed that the Innocence Project continues to list on its website debunked evidence that supposedly exonerates Jones.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/julius-jo...124852758.html

Quote:
Hundreds of students walked out of school on Wednesday in a final attempt to persuade the governor of the US state of Oklahoma to grant clemency to a death-row inmate who is scheduled to be executed on Thursday.

In 2002, Julius Jones was sentenced to death for killing Paul Howell during a carjacking three years earlier.

Mr Jones, 41, maintains his innocence.

He killed a guy in front of his small child.

Fry him. I’ll pop popcorn. Let’s get it done.

Jones pled guilty to armed robbery just six days before he killed Howell. It wasn’t his only brush with the law, either. The narrative of him being a good boy and studious college student is complete crap.

The evidence of his guilt is overwhelming. This is 100 percent agenda and politics driven.

The Governor has an "out" if he chooses to take it.

Quote:
The governor is yet to rule on a recommendation on a 3-1 vote by the state's Pardon and Parole Board that his sentence be commuted to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
Although I would really question why they would suggest Life with the possibility of parole.

The High School kids that walked out were not even alive when the murder happened in 1999, and I doubt that a single one of them did any research into the case to see what happened. The only reason they are doing this is because of the celebrities involved, and I am sure the chance to get out of class for a bit didn't hurt either.

The only reason to take a life is when defending property or the life of a person. The death penalty is a revenge killing and has no place in a civilized society.

Y'all sound like the Taliban.

I highly doubt you truly believe this.

Think of him as a sick animal, one that can't be helped. Put him down.
