Well, he was doing good deeds prior to being attacked. So what do you think his intentions were?

Seriously? He spent the morning cleaning graffiti off of the high school and was administering first aid to rioters. What do you think his intentions were?

He didn’t have good intention because he was in Kenosha cleaning up graffiti, providing first aid, and putting out a dumpster on fire?

Years ago A&W launched a 1/3 pound burger to compete with the McDonald’s 1/4 pounder. It didn’t take off because people actually thought it was smaller than the 1/4 pounder and didn’t want to pay the same amount for less food. I used to laugh and wonder how people could be that dumb. Reading the posts from the “Rittenhouse is bad” crowd in this thread made me stop wondering. Some people really are idiots.

That isn't an excuse. This thread alone has enough information about the events and the trial that there is no logical explanation for people to still be clinging to the narrative of Rittenhouse being a murderous racist, yet they continue to say that he is. It's willful ignorance at this point.

Really that's not the point though. Rittenhouse may well be a murderous racist who was really excited about the opportunity to bag him one. That wasn't what he was on trial for. He was on trial for shooting three white people, two of whom he killed. The relevant question is whether or not it was legal for him to do so and frankly it's just irrelevant whether he was or was not a murderous racist who was excited about the prospect of bagging a looter. Murderous racists still have a legal right to self-defense same as anyone else.

Personally, I think he was more just a dumb kid than a murderous racist but the the point really is that that's not the point. Dumb kids and murderous racists have equal rights to self-defense under the law which is the point. The somewhat fuzzy one was Rosenbaum. Skateboard guy and paramedic pointing his gun guy, you know, maybe they thought they were doing the right thing trying to stop an active shooter. In the mess of things things are messy. But if Rosenbaum goes self-defense, the other two by necessity follow.

Nothing fuzzy about Rosenbaum. He was a mental case.

Not figuratively. Literally.

....And clinically.

Indeed, which you know those things play to a jury a certain way. As far as why he got shot though, thta does remain fuzzy. The throw a plastic bag that looked like it contained clothes and got popped. Pretty sparse detail as opposed to the guy who was swinging his skateboard and Rittenhouse or the guy brandishing his pistol. Those are pretty clear if you're running and someone's trying to hit you with a skateboard when you fall or pointing a gun at you, the actions speak for themselves. As opposed to throwing what look like a plastic bag of clothes in your general direction. Just not good video of Rosenbaum.

Video shows Rosenbaum chasing Rittenhouse. Eyewitness testimony had him lunging at Rittenhouse, speculatively going for the gun. The gunshot wound to his hand was consistent with his hand being over the barrel. Rosenbaum didn’t get shot because he threw a bag of clothes. He got shot because he attacked an armed individual. Unless, of course, you believe that he chased Rittenhouse in order to give him a hug. There is nothing “fuzzy” about the Rosenbaum shooting unless you are being deliberately obtuse.
