This is true. I worked as a Court Officer in NYC in the 70s and 80s in NYC in an All Purpose Part. That was just one part in one building in one borough. We typically had over 100 cases on the calendar.

Properly theyd approach the case arguing that Rittenhouse behaved unlike a reasonable person. Given he wasn’t employed as security nor does he have any property in the area they have a pretty good chance of winning.
Lol, I'm not sure who told you that but with a confirmed self defense justification, they'd have literally no chance of winning that civil case. A reasonable person wouldn't have simply let the child rapist or lynch mob attack them.

By all means though, if they are dumb enough to bring that kind of lawsuit, the counter suit will crush them.

nope, he already has a self defense ruling....

but using your argument....the 3 guys he shot...and the one he didn't...didn't behave like a reasonable person either...and the best argument is...if they were not there rioting...they would not have been shot in the first place

Confirmed self defense means jack. That's criminal, no civil.

Self defense ruling is meaningless for a civil suit.

Rioting wouldn't matter. Doesn't play into these specific events. You're looking at a big picture concerning a small picture event.

I'm not sure who told you that, but they were wrong.

It means quite a bit that his affirmative defense was validated by a court. It doesn't mean they couldn't embarrass themselves by trying, but he's be able to bring up the child rapist's criminal history and that of the other scumbags that attacked Kyle.

He also have grounds for counter suit meaning he'd likely bankrupt them for trying it.

Then what do you think they would take him to civil for?

shooting them....when he shouldn't have shot them

one of them is beating him in the head with a skate board....another one is coming at him pointing a gun at him....one's chasing him, swinging a chain, corners him and tried to grab his gun

OJ Simpson.

You two clearly have zero legal experience and yet seem to think you're experts.

Again. OJ Simpson.

If you can't figure it out, guess you're right there, roughly.
