He pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident. He was NEVER charged with anything at all, even after a Grand Jury.

At a July 25, 1969, court hearing, Kennedy pled guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident, and received a two-month suspended jail sentence. In a televised statement that same evening, he said his conduct immediately after the crash "made no sense to me at all", and that he regarded his failure to report the crash immediately as "indefensible". A January 5, 1970, judicial inquest concluded that Kennedy and Kopechne did not intend to take the ferry, and that Kennedy intentionally turned toward the bridge, operating his vehicle negligently, if not recklessly, at too high a speed for the hazard which the bridge posed in the dark. The judge stopped short of recommending charges, and a grand jury convened on April 6, 1970, returning no indictments. On May 27, 1970, a Registry of Motor Vehicles hearing resulted in Kennedy's driver's license being suspended for a total of sixteen months after the crash.

It’s always about who you know.

Your not wrong about it being who you know but how would you plead guilty if your not charged?

Hey, stop picking on Ted Kennedy. Have you forgotten Bobby executing Marilyn Monroe? Such a fine upstanding family those Kennedy boys.

Ted Cruz Response (Amazed)

1/x Pretty stunning that she’s an@nbc anchor. She “doesn’t have an answer.” Try this:
(1) He WAS charged with six counts. That thing that just finished was his trial.
(2) A jury of his peers found him not guilty.
(3) Why? The defense argued he was engaged in self-defense

Eric Matheny

Replying to @mariashriver
"You don’t say. And my son just asked me how a man can get drunk, drive his car into a lake with a woman in the passenger seat, kill her, and still manage to spend his career in the United States Senate."

She will NEVER say anything about Alec Baldwin. He killed somebody and nobody will be charged. She is a fake and dumb like her ex husband. Now you know smarts and class skips generations in that family.

Good point! She never called out her uncle. What did she told her kids when they read Google about their uncle. She is a fake and spoiled.

I thought she went to Lawschool ??? (What was she doing....passing love notes to class-mates?....What's to 'Not Get?')

She thinks that 'no one' should be allowed to walk the Streets with a Rifle and defend property....

HUh??

Liberals do not believe in the rule of law, individual rights, or a fair judicial process.

Liberals only want vigilante mob rule and liberal outcomes, not justice.

Libs are totalitarians and no longer share the same beliefs and values held by most in western civilization.
