Nice to see someone doing something to relieve the pain caused by politicians in Washington, DC!
To pose a question, with all the money being spent on "infrastructure", why do we still need the Federal Gas Tax? It just seems like double taxation, i.e. using taxpayer money to pay for something twice.

FL doesn’t create money. They’re just shuffling it around. The ppl still pay for it, just which ones will.

Huh?
Gas tax is is on fuel. Buses etc use fuel and charge it to the riders.
Might as well cut gas tax in Florida for a while, if Florida highways are in good shape.
Really hmm We have time on outside. We are a baby compared to other states that have been vastly populated long before Fl. I remember the cow pastures where now are malls n shopping strips only 25 yrs ago in Ft Lauderdale. The roads are newer, but not sure about the bridges. They to me should be priority over rail.
The proposal for a billion dollar cut in the funding is pretty steep if the cuts take place over one year. The Brietbart article doesn't mention a range of time over which these cuts will be implemented.
Gas prices will drop 15-30 cents per gallon by Christmas anyway. Why kneecap your road program for political points?
Shhh - nobody is supposed to know that.
