According to the FBI 26% of rape is from a current or Former Intimate Partner. 38% is from a friend or acquaintance 26% are strangers.
While guns would allow a woman to defend herself against stranger rapes not sure it would help with date rapes, and rapes of woman who are passed out from drinking.
