Congressional representation isn't the matter at hand here, though. The thread discusses Presidential elections. Which are handled through the Electoral College.

The District of Columbia is a Federal District, the seat of the Federal Government of this republic of States, authorized by Article I, Section 8, Clause 17 of the United States Constitution. It is not subject to any State control, including itself, and cannot legally be granted State rights no matter how long you hold your breath.

The only legal way for DC to ever become a State is for the constitution to be amended by super majority

Good luck with that
Or for the federal district to split off from the population centers and remain as such. The residential portion should just be absorbed into its original state if the desire is congressional representation.

2024 is going to be 4 years of lost life unless there is a major intervention.

which will not occur for a few decades.

By 1/20/2023, GOP will have substantial majorities in House and Senate, and will hold that for several terms.

If you don't like that you shouldn't be living in DC. Everyone was told from day 1, 231 years ago, what the deal was

This ^^^^^.

If Senate representation means that much to a DC resident, he or she is free to move to VA, MD, etc.
