Even if something can be altered, it is not something it is not before it is altered. So no, an AR 15 is not a machine gun. You can keep saying it is one all day wrong but that doesnt make it one, it just makes you incorrect.
It is not "personal gun geek nomenclature", whatever that is. It is facts. Once again, just because you are ignorant of something does not change what something is. For instance, just because a person doesnt know the difference between a manual transmission and an automatic transmission does mean that they are the something.
You are beginning to sound like a liberal offended I called you the wrong pronoun. Call it a fre@king ray gun for all I care. It isn't a machine gun but you have a bunch of weirdos marching around with one pretending it is. This will never change. If it can be altered to be a machine gun then potentially it is one.
Does the cop responding to the school shooting know if it has had its pin altered? Do they say when responding don't worry it isn5 a machine gun, it's just some wannabe with an AR?

Im curious. Who exactly is walking around pretending that an AR 15 is a machine gun. And how do you know that they are pretending it is a machine gun.
I realize that you do no like them and perhaps you are scared of them? If you are not scared of them, then I apologize in advance. However, do you know that more people are killed by pistols then AR 15s? Do you know that more people are killed by blunt objects then AR 15s? Do you know that more people are beaten to death to death with hands and feet then AR 15s? If you do not, well now you do. And if you did then what is with this hate of them?
As for it potentially being a machine gun, cars can potentially be weapons but people dont go around calling them weapons. It is not hard using the correct term for something. I dont blame someone for no know something and using an incorrect term. I do blame someone for purposely knowing the correct term and continuously using the wrong one.
Yeah I also have a "firearm" it's a 590 Shockwave. It is a short barreled shotgun. It isn't defined as that legally but that is exactly what it is. It shoots shotgun rounds. We are talking about peo0le speaking in the vernacular not what statutes and regulations define.

And what's your shotgun has anything to do with how ATF defined a “machine gun”?

I own guns I don't hate guns I a: not afraid of them. I don't need to be talked to like a child nothing you say is news to me. If you insist on every object on the planet to be called the correct term you will have problems in life. Your arguments are tired and not very well thought out. Wh3n a vehicle is used as a weapon it is called vehicular homocide. Somebody thought of that genius.
When something can be made fully automatic and shoot bullets that a machine gun can it is a machine gun in anything but name according to you. It just amuses me that people really feel strongly about 2hat it is called. It's a semiautomatic rifle, capable of firing 30 rounds of full metal jackets, in under 10 seconds unaltered.
Much like the pro-abortion crowd the gun crowd make themselves look stupid with tired arguments.

I don’t see the connection here
That under the ATF definition my firearm isn't classified as a shotgun. Short barrel shotguns are illegal. Still that is what it is. So the legal definition doesn't match the reality. It means this is also the case with the AR it is in fact a machine gun but not legally defined as one.
Here is my "firearm" under legal definition tell me that's not a short barrel shotgun. This is my contention for the AR15 it is a machine gun or can be easily altered to be one despite legal definition.

And yet you are the one who started this argument. Interesting. Anyway, you have been informed that you are incorrect and you refuse to acknowledge that. No point in continuing this. Have a good day.

Tomato is a fruit often called a vegetable. It won't change. People don't always use legal definitions in everyday use now do they?
