Don't confuse trying to support minority businesses with boycotting white ones. That's just intellectual dishonesty. The history of University of Mississippi and Howard University are not mirror images.
Yes, thats the trick here. BLM is not pro black business. When they say "white supremist capitalism" what they really mean is that the capitalist system is itself white supremist. But they aim to trick the black community into thinking they are something they are not. They hate black capitalists as much as they do white capitalists. Black businesses should swiftly condemn them and call them out. The naacp should criticize them already. First they threaten a black Democrat mayor with "bloodshed" for trying to make black neighborhoods safer, then they advocate outright racist discrimination by boycotting businesses based on race. This is a group that ought to have long since been publicly disavowed by black leaders. But they're all cowardly political careerists who will keep their mouths shut.

Doesn’t bother me if they want to support their community and businesses owned by black people. A little late to do their boycott much good since majority are most likely done with their shopping.
they (Blacks) should have focused on multiplying their dollars in black-owned businesses years ago.
Without the rhetoric, they (BLM) might figure out that capitalism is the way up for them, as it has been for millions and millions of other Americans before them.
Sounds fair. I'm boycotting companies that support terrorist organizations like BLM, so they're free to boycott companies because of the skin color of the owners. Wait.....that doesn't make sense. BLM is protesting racism with racism. Not sure how that works. Maybe some leftest nut job will join this thread and enlighten us with their lunatic rantings.
Shopping experience will be more peaceful and stores should be more profitable due to lower volume of shoplifting and mob scenes.
Seems like a win - win
I repped you, but that was a gut reflex, and I am ashamed of myself. I know and I hope that ALL of you do know that the great majority of blacks are law-abiding and good citizens.
But that is the trouble with the BLM rioters (as separate from peaceful protesters) -- people read posts like that above and our minds immediately go to the worst sort of people the post refers to. Just goes to show that a few bad characters can wreck someone's perception of an entire group of people.
Imo, the BLM rioters do more to promote the idea that many blacks are nothing but violent unthinking idiots than any KKK propaganda could.
Good luck. One way or another, whether they like it or not, but they are going to have to support a company that was created and owned by white people. Might as well get rid of those cars, cell phones, basketballs, footballs and turn off the electric.
Can someone post a list of the businesses that they'll be boycotting? I'd like to focus my shopping at those places.
Basically all of the supermarket chains, drugstore chains Walgreens, CVS, etc. all of the fast food chains, Amazon, eBay, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Jumbo, Costco,... It's a very long list.
