Alec Baldwin released a video two days before Christmas in which he expressed his thanks to those who "sent me such kind words" in the wake of the tragic Rust shooting.
Baldwin, 63, posted a video of himself on his Instagram account on Thursday, writing "Merry Christmas…" in the caption.
"I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the people who sent me such kind words and best wishes and strength and hope and prayers, thoughts and lots of encouragement," the actor said as he stood outside. "I got hundreds, hundreds of emails from friends, family and colleagues and people I haven't heard from in quite a while to send me strength and good wishes and so forth. I'm really grateful to them."
"Affiant is requesting a warrant for the seizure and search of Alec Baldwins' [sic] cell phone to search for any evidence relating to the death investigation of Halyna Hutchins," the affidavit, obtained by Fox News Digital, said."Affiant believes there may be evidence on the phone due to individuals using cellular phones during and/or after the commission of crime(s)."

I was much too kind to Baldwin (with whom I was not very familiar) in my comments on one of the threads that is now locked. I was also too quick to make assumptions about what normal procedures on sets are, without actually knowing. I don't claim to know what the full story is, but he certainly isn't cooperating with the investigation.
I also saw that he said in some interview or other that he hadn't realized that Hutchins had been shot, like for a matter of minutes. Would it have been that easy to miss that?
