For those who have the patience to watch this 34 minute video, it is very enlightening.
It is discussing how many societies are devolving with our views on how to deal with Covid, exposing a much greater divide than most of us ever thought possible in this day and age;

`

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_uAwsVn10Y

Tribalism and demonizing those who do not think as we do, has culture and society headed in the wrong direction.
Covid has caused many not typically engaged in culture wars (other than the political class/junkies), to become polarized on either side for all the wrong reasons.
For example, I know people who are for mandated vaccines that are Republicans, and others who are totally against mandates who are Democrats.
Yet you will find people taking sides over this one issue, and wanting to pigeon hole people they normally ideologically agree with, as bad.

What are your thoughts on how we can find ways not to talk past each other, and get to the point where we want to stone those who disagree with us on certain issues?

Wow, I imagine that those who took the time to listen to a 34 minute video might not be inclined to comment on it, I would think some, even after the first 10 minutes would see the need for us to work together in this pandemic.
Your commentary will be appreciated, as I do not think most citizens of western culture appreciate the damaging effects of this tribalism, that we are going through.

Turn off the screens and have conversations face-to-face with those who trust that we care about them. Debating topics like Covid on forums like this one rarely result in agreement. They just further entrench in our differences.

An unbiased video from the Hill... not bad... such a breath of fresh air from the radical reddit lefties who insist on muzzling kids for the next 100 years. I didn't realize this was a centrist publication.

Unherd has some great videos on covid and the various ways and draconian ways it's been handled and at what cost to human relationships. This one was a star in the series and I hope others can come to the same conclusion re: the authoritarianism that we enabling. It can't lead to anything good.

Covid is a test of how willing people are to give up their own right to decide things for themselves and just hand over control of their lives to the government.

Covid is an excellent illustration of the reason why the government should have 99% of its powers permanently stripped and be downsized accordingly.

Indeed, and the guy interviewed saw the bigger picture, despite his previous thoughts.
