I heard they were going to do a similar special in IL, about black on black shootings in Chicago. But once they started to write the story, there was a backlog of 400 more shootings. Realizing they could never keep up with the daily count of black on black shootings, they gave up. It's easier to focus on events which are rare. Sort of like ignoring the 600+ 2020 riots by democrats, and just focusing on Jan 6th, cuz it's the one and only riot by some republicans.

In case you're not feeling the proper amount of racial outrage today, the Associated Press wants to remind you that, on September 15th, 1963, the Ku Klux Klan bombed a church and killed 4 black girls.
Quote:
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Maxine McNair, the last living parent of any of the four Black girls killed in a 1963 Alabama church bombing, died Sunday. She was 93.

McNair's family announced her death in a press release. A cause of death was not given.

McNair's daughter, 11-year-old Denise McNair, was the youngest girl killed in the bombing of Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist Church, the deadliest single attack of the civil rights movement. Also killed were three 14-year-olds: Addie Mae Collins, Carole Rosamond Robertson and Cynthia Dionne Wesley.

Three members of the Ku Klux Klan were eventually convicted in the case, the first in 1977 and two more in the early 2000s.

The thing about lynching is it is usually done in concert with law enforcement and the people doing the lynching are not treated like criminals. That's why you can't compare "black on black crime" to racial violence. Come to think about it I don't ever remember people referring to Mafia killing as "Italian on Italian crime."

In Hiawatha KS in 1892 Commodore True was hanged. Fifteen perpetrators got him from the Brown County jail and took him out to be hung. The Sheriff was said to have fired a few "ineffectual shots." After the lynching the hanged man was shot fifty times. The hanged man and the men who did the lynching were all black.

It's a simple problem easily explained by economic theory:

Demand for Racism > (greater than) Supply of Racism

So the market (corporate media) is adding supply to meet the needs
