I am pro public executions. The more will see, that they can be actually punished for their wrong doings, the more will possibly think twice before committing a capital crime. So far, all they see, is that you can get away with it, as police is stupid and any low life is much smarter and has faster car.

I am totally against the death penalty for a few reasons:

1. Society says that it's against the law and immoral for a human to kill another human, so why is it legal for the government to kill a human as a punishment?

2. The penalty is less about punishing the criminal and more about the family members wanting to get revenge, hence the reason why there is a viewing room.

3. What happens if the wrong person is arrested and found guilty? It happens ALL THE TIME where people were imprisoned for over a decade for a crime they didn't commit.

4. Officials try to soften the concept of killing someone by performing a medical procedure with different types of medication.
I have absolutely zero problems with it, in the cases where there is absolutely beyond a doubt that the individual is guilty. I also don't think of it as punishment, I think of it as putting down a sick animal. Better for the individual and for society in general.

Some perfect examples would be the Oxford MI school shooter, and the MN parade attacker. In fact, it should be done on the spot, no trial needed, just a bullet to the head.

It's not 1 in 1000. It's estimated 4% of death row inmates are innocent. That's a huge number.

There's no benefit to the death penalty, it doesn't deter anyone, it costs us more $s, and there's a risk of executing innocent people. In modern society, the death penalty doesn't make sense.

The only reason to take the life of anothers is protecting property or life. It's un Constitutional to take someones life out of revenge. No one has the authority to do so except the individual who owns their own life.

The Talibam and other savage societies believe in the death penalty.

Taking this individuals life would have nothing to do with revenge. It is just putting down a sick animal.

Earl Brian Bradley (born May 10, 1953) is a former pediatrician from Lewes, Delaware and convicted serial child rapist. He was indicted in 2010 on 471 charges of molesting, raping and exploiting 103 child patients (102 girls and 1 boy). Some of the victims were as young as three months old.

It's not meant to be a deterrent.

It's meant to be punishment for the most serious of crimes like the Okla Bombing or the murder or Children and Law Enforcement. OR Hijacking a plane and flying them into buildings, killing 13 people in a church, ect.

Those type of people never think about the DP when they do their crimes.

Redefining a word? What next? Someone with balls is female?

Using emotion doesn't solve problems, it creates them. Always defend the rights of the individual. Those are your rights.

Agreed about the lack of thought by the perpetrators. That said, life in jail is punishment.

You lost me. Redefining what word ? And why are you talking about balls...Lol ?!

Death for some of these individuals is a better place for them, and us.

Sorry, I will not defend the rights of individuals like school shooters, and child rapists'.
