Based on the new rules issued by USA Swimming, which are much stricter then the current NCAA generic policy, it will be nearly impossible for a trans female to qualify to compete against women.
Most likely they will be given two choices;
Participate under the women's umbrella without competing against the women, or compete against the men.
As for the latter, todays young athletes (all sports) are pretty empathetic and supportive of the trans community, and the men would have very little problem with a team-mate whom identifies as trans on their team as long as they can play. For the few that would, they deal with it or get out of sports.
Why are you so insistent that men should play on women's sports teams? Do you dislike women? Want to erase them?

IMHO, their most valuable weapon is publicity, so whenever these menfolk in drag decide to "declare female" for sports, every actual female in the competition should simply boycott. This Thomas fellow playing dress up should have been in that pool all by his lonesome, thus being the guaranteed winner. His biology already gets him 90% of the way there, so the actual females he is gaming the system to cheat out of their athletic accomplishments should walk away and give him the remaining 10% and make his "victory" a sure thing.
And every single time another man-lady does this nonsense, every woman that man-lady is supposed to compete against should forfeit/boycott. It should be the new rallying cry of biological female unity to reclaim their athletics from man-ladies who are gaming a system and robbing women of something they built on actual girl power.

Pretty much this. Besides boycott, they turn to the tool used to kickstart this whole thing to begin with. It's the current battleground of public opinion.

Female athletes need to make a stand. And they have a very, very powerful chip to play - Title IX. Tell your big university that all those women's athletics scholarships are what allow you to have football and basketball programs that make it rain. Do we really want to f**k with that natural balance that is so financially lucrative? Now you are given those Title IX scholarships to biological men? Really?

For all this feministic bullchot about how empowered women are this is the weakest group of women I have ever seen.
Had this happened in the 80s or 90s? This man would have had his azz handed to him by female athletes. As in they probably would've physically tossed him from the locker room. They would've stood together and NOT competed. It would've been over in a month, and the females would've gone back to swimming.
But today's female has been raised in an incredibly dysfunctional society. They are weak. They do not realize the power they could've had to stop all this. They are idiots. And it's terribly, terribly sad.

I never claimed to be "insistent" on anything, other then finding the best way for trans athletes to be included in sports. As one who has been part of the industry for over 40 years, I may of defended some of the policies put forth by the industry as did many others. The issue never really became problematic until recently.
So let me ask you. How is the best way for trans athletes to participate in sports, or are you of the mind that they should not?
Will state that anyone who is not supportive towards others based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity, really should question themselves, do they really belong in sports? There may be some like that but thankfully most are not.
Biological men destroying biological women in all women's sports is such a great thing for the women's empowerment movement.
