Absolutely. Just as there is no need to administer pregnancy tests to women who aren't pregnant. No reason to order chest x-rays for people who don't have lung cancer, no reason to do an ECG on someone who doesn't have any heart problems, no reason to do a biopsy on people who don't have skin cancer, and no reason to check glucose levels for people who don't have diabetes.
I think you may be on to something here....
Yep, testing people who have no reason to believe they're sick is just a dumb waste of resources. If you're hellbent on being a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
.....oh wait, this is the government we're talking about....
Never. I got the Pfizer shots in July, and have had no reasons to be tested before or since.
The only person in my family of five who’s taken a test is my daughter, whose high school required one before the kids could attend prom in June. They gave everyone an at-home test to take and text in the result.
Also, the flu vaccine does not need boosters. And the flu is not common either. Most people don't get the Flu every year. I never had the Flu (or had Flu symptoms anyways) and I never vaccinated for it either.

once. I knew I had it and tested to confirm. Recovered just fine after self isolation. My case was not serious at all, but I'm skinny and understand how it could be very dangerous to heavier people. I have some natural immunity now as I preferred.

Not me but I know 8 people in the family that got it in other states and all beat it on their own. No vaccine. The majority didn't feel much. I needed 2 procedure done 6 months apart (same day surgery) at the VA and they tested me twice and it came back negative.
