Worse. With socialism you don't even have crumbs because no one's producing any bread.

Under our current system, a lot of middle class jobs are being replaced by lower class jobs, with the resulting profits going to the upper classes. It’s happening naturally under capitalism without any government policies. If you think that’s a problem, we will need policies to rectify that. Unfortunately, much of the (remaining) middle class is convinced that any such policies are “socialism” and therefore bad.
Our education system has to take some blame for that.
High skill jobs have to be offshored because they can't find US talent.
What's left....lower paying service jobs.

We're not a producer nation anymore. We have a service economy which is lower paying.
We're consumers now...we buy stuff, not create stuff.

Sad but that is what globalism does....redistribution. India and China got the tech work to raise those countries.

From a globalist viewpoint...everyone has to be "equalized".

Sorry but no.

Lower - Middle - Upper Classes by percent according to Pew Research (using government data sets).

1971 - 25 - 61 - 14

2018 - 29 - 52 - 19

IOW more people and families have moved up than down. We'll have to wait to see what covid has done to these numbers.

Here's a list of countries with very low income inequality. You should for sure move to one of them and report back.

Ukraine, Slovenia, Belarus and Moldova etc.

Those numbers show exactly what I was talking about: more people at the top and bottom, and fewer in the middle.

No one wants to pay for a decent education system. Why should smart, talented people become teachers when they can work almost anywhere else for (much) more money and respect? Why would any smart person want to deal with all the far-right parents who complain about teaching evolution, slavery, or the civil rights movement? You can’t teach people who think knowledge is from the Devil or a nefarious plot to overthrow American values.

Globalization increases inequality by decreasing wages and increasing profits. It wasn’t the evilsocialists who pushed for globalization and free trade, it was big business. Do you really think NAFTA was some kind of Marxist plot?
