He is on record as being a Democrat. In NYC, he was a good friend of the Clintons and said that Hillary would make a good president. He's a misogynist and racist. That does not make him a conservative or a Republican. I'd just love to hear him attempt an interview with a true conservative, like the late Bill Buckley.

He has fractured the Republican party and turned it into a cultish freak show.

Republicans for whom I have respect, the late John McCain, Christine Todd Whitman, Lisa Murkowski, most of the Bush family, Lynn Cheney, Dan Sullivan, Don Young, Mitt Romney, my former governor John Kasich (OH) Phil Scott (Vermont governor)and he was the reason the late Colin Powell left the Republican party.

There are more. As an Independent, I think that it's important that there are two functional parties in the US. Right now we are a weaker country because of this failed businessman and coward.

How dare he mock John McCain? If anyone ever deserved a tour in Vietnam, it was Trump.
Great post! And yes, as a native New Yorker we all know his true colors. He's been a ****** from day 1. He singlehandedly raped Atlantic city, managing to take 3 major casinos into bankruptcy, when others were successful. He never had any intention of making those profitable casinos, it was all about doing everything on borrowed money and investors money and then he cut and ran but not without his profit.

He put thousands out of work and stiffed carpenters, plumbers, electricians and other laborers, the people he "loves" so much. The reality is he wouldn't give any of his supporters the time of day. His rallies were freakish clown shows. What an embarassment to the country

There is abundant proof that climate change is causing drought in the west, flooding in the east, wildfires, rising sea levels in Miami and Pacific Islands. The fact that you choose not to see it or believe it just shows how closed minded you are. Or that you shun science and reality in favor of silly right wing media.

Gasoline did not "skyrocket." Is gas $10 a gallon?? The price didn't even double for Gods sake.
Nah, it would’ve been been more looting, violence, burning it down, etc…, for 4 more years. Folks have now realized they voted for a demented old man that hasn’t a clue and keeps stacking debacles. He’s hilarious to watch, and even more hilarious when Dems lose the House and Presidency because of it. It’ll be like 2016-present when folks are still wondering how Hillary lost, lol.

You obviously have a different definition of skyrocketing, especially if you’re defending gas prices, and let’s not forget those pesky natural gas prices, but please do tell what gas prices were under because Trump to what they are now?

But Biden is senile haha.
Proof to because Trump being strung out on Adderall?

Love the defending. Sleepy Joe falls asleep, has to read from a teleprompter and notecards, slurs his speech, craps his pants, falls up stairs, trips over the dog, etc… He’s the laughing stock of most of the country and beyond

Trump btw was a mixed bag down ticket. He spiked rural voting turnout, other conservative regions turnout, and House members whose districts included either significantly could win riding that wave.

Trump did China a favor in the long run. Mark my words.

If I could rep you 1000 times I would. I have family from Jamaica Estates. It was once a "restricted covenant community". These communities were for upper-middle and better homeowners who were well off, but not Vanderbilts. They flourished in the late 19th century through the mid 20th Century, with their heavy day in the 1920s when some of the immigrants began to make enough money to afford substantial homes. Garden City NY and Bellerose Village were two others and they were built in the Midwest, also. The movement started in reaction NOT TO BLACKS and HISPANICS, but the large influx of immigrants in the teens and 20s who were Catholic, Jewish, Italian, Irish, Polish, and Scandinavians, some of whom were Evangelical Christians whose emotional worship style, street preaching, and open religiosity disgusted the said WASP aristocracy. Many of these communities had churches within their subdivisions,

Predictably, they were usually Episcopalian and Presbyterian.

My relatives report that the Trumps were considered gauche and showy. They were also outwardly bigoted. When an Italian American family attempted to gain entrance to Jamaica Estates, the Trumps were the most vociferous voices against permitting them to move into the neighborhood. Ironically, they are were immigrants themselves - or at least first generation.

Fred Trump, Donald's father, joined the Klan because he hated Irish police officers "telling him what to do".

If any Trump cultists are Irish, Italian, Catholic, Polish, Irish, Hungarian, Scandinavian, or Evangelical, I am not sure how they can worship this vile family.

To your point about Atlantic City casinos, I had always wondered how and why he went bankrupt in an industry that always wins. I had thought that Trump was the only man alive to bankrupt a casino, but it was all planned.

He's just unbelievable.

Oh, and he and his father were sued by the Nixon administration for violation of their Fair Housing act. They received a grant from HUD to build middle-class housing in Brooklyn, but they refused to rent to African Americans.

This pattern of misappropriation of funds, full-on bigotry, using the government and bankruptcy laws to borrow money, accept grants and obtain funds is endemic in their family. They are like a sleazy carnival act. That none of them has yet been arrested by now, is remarkable,

Trump - New York's other Teflon Don

Very true, look at how Dems lost VA.

All you have to do is say “CRT” and Dems lose all their voters.

Dems are trying to find solutions that never had problems.

In the long run, Trump will have brought about the end of the Republican Party, but at the cost of much of our strength and stability in this country. The survivors will need to work hard to restore what has been lost,

I probably dislike Trump as much as you do, and I agree that he is an embarrassment, but trying to single him out as an Atlantic City casino 'bankrupter' isn't right. Other Atlantic City hotel/casino operators during that time had operations that went bankrupt as well.
