Now that the boosters are being pushed we get another variant and today Pfizer announces the booster will protect you from it? The timing just seems too coincidental. And people must believe it. Or am o reading into it.

There is no evidence it works against Omicron. Just Pfizer's word, which at this juncture should be worthless to everyone.

One of the first few cases of omicron were in two Israeli doctors ... both triple vaxxed.

So there's that.

since a link would be nice -

A third dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine neutralizes the Omicron variant of the coronavirus that’s caused global alarm over the past two weeks, the drugmaker said Wednesday.

Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech said that preliminary results of a laboratory study show a booster dose of the vaccine “provides a similar level of neutralizing antibodies to Omicron as is observed after two doses against” the original virus “and other variants that emerged before Omicron.”

Were they supposed to announce efficacy against the new variant before it was discovered? I'm not sure what is supposed to be "convenient".

And the booster doesn't work that well against Omicron, it just works better than not boosting. If your vaccination is half as effective, you need it to be as fresh as possible to compensate.

I heard it didn't work very much with Omicron. Either you are making this up or you can see into the future? I had the booster a few months ago and am going to depend more on a good mask now that Omicron is out there. I just all covid would vanish forever!!!!!!!!!!

RNA. and no, it isn't the same. it contains ~32 mutations in the spike protein region alone.

There are no vaccines for coronaviruses - common colds, influenzas, CoViD-19s, etc., - there are only periodic mitigative shots.

Previously, the mitigative shots for influenzas were annual. Currently the mitigative shots for CoViD-19s are semi-annual.

Previously, in the US, around 50% of the population bothered to take the annual mitigative shot for the influenza coronaviruses.

Currently, in the US around 60% of the population has bothered to take the semi-annual mitigative shots for the CoViD-19 coronaviruses.

All this hullabaloo for a 10 percentage point increase in market share. Well, plus all that global market share.

So, business as usual in the globalization era: big business backed by big government.

The courts have been striking down mandates, and there is a good chance that they will continue to do so.

When the smoke clears, the pharmaceutical companies will probably hold on to their 60% domestic market share, and whatever it will be around the globe, and they will be content with that.

Until they shoot their load on this and seek to reload on the next big thing.

It's a business cycle.

Good Luck!

I'm not following this closely anymore, other than fighting the abuses that governments around the world are perpetrating, but I thought I read that the thing about Omicron that's all scary and stuff is that it doesn't have the protein spike targeted by the "vaccine." If that's the case, then the "vaccine" can't work against it, as we were told very explicitly how this thing works, and it works by targeting the single, specific protein which Omicron doesn't have, if I'm remembering it all correctly.
