I know my own father would have chosen this over suffering and dying from terminal cancer. So many people in that situation would want this to end their lives with dignity and on their time, their decision. With age control, I think it’s a better idea than horrible human suffering at end of life.

Before I started self improvement, self mastery, red pilling, playing guitar, lifting, I would have checked myself out in one of these. If there is an lonely, unhappy, suicidal person that wants to go, they should be able to check out. Likewise the terminally ill, and we could use these for capital punishment...there's no reason executions should be inhumane and painful.

Suicide could be considered a selfish act though... A person should talk to their loved ones first. Doing it in the heat of the moment after your soul mate broke your heart could leave lots of collateral damage behind.

Same here. And this "suicide pod" won't harm anyone the way a stray bullet may and no one will find a bloodied body after the suicidal person ends his life.

Ummm, Ethically I'm for it. But oxygen deprivation does not sound like the way to go. Ask anyone who's had an asthma attack, near drowning experience or, I guess, almost died from COVID how that felt.

According to the link in the OP

Quote:
Nitschke said his method of death is painless, and the person will feel a little bit disoriented and/or euphoric before they lose consciousness.
Quote:
Nitschke added that people who use the capsule will not feel any type of suffocation or choking in the low-oxygen environment. Rather, they will “feel their best.”
Suicide pods now legal in Switzerland, providing users with a painless death

Jack Kavorkian would be proud if he was still alive today.

I don't buy that. Your brain has evolved to let you know you are low on oxygen and some pretty violent ways of fixing the problem. Thrashing, panic, superhuman strength. If you would like to simulate this place a plastic bag over your head and take notes of your experience. Please don't do this without someone standing by to get the bag off. I wonder how he knows you will "feel your best". Yelp reviews?

Dr. Jack Kevorkian was ahead of his time and pursued ruthlessly because of it
