Today's Democrats will always work against law and order, and they will always be soft on crime. which is why we have a real tough time combating crime.
Is that your excuse for all cities or just the Republican ones? And which Republican cities are you referring to?

Of course not. Simply having a political philosophy or set of moral principles does magically endow a person with the skill and wherewithal to successfully fighting crime.

But when the entire Democratic Party is actively supporting lawlessness, calling for defunding the police, "Reimagine Policing," bailing out violent rioters and dismissing 600+ riots as being "mostly peaceful," releasing criminals without bail, and now promising to not incarcerate criminals, then there is a stark difference between Republicans trying to combat crime, and Democrats promoting lawlessness and allowing crimes to take place.

Who is defunding the Republican-run cities and states of Jacksonville, FL, Tulsa, OK, Ft. Worth Tx where crime has continued to rise for years?

Neither political party can do much outside of getting tough on crime. The attitude of "kill or be killed" is very prevalent in the ghettos throughout America. Nothing can be done for those who live by that ethos. Murders can definitely be punished through life in prison and/or the death penalty. However, whenever there are those who don't care if they live or die, they're angry at the world, they hate everybody, including themselves, punishment won't serve as a deterrent.

Punishment serves as a deterrent to those who are afraid to lose what they have. Punishment certainly serves justice. However, whenever there are individuals who hold firm to the view that violence is the one and only way to solve any dispute, murder is what some individuals are going to do. It isn't the right thing to do. Sadly, it is what it is. This has been going on forever, and I don't have much hope of this problem going away, except through drastic measures.

Execute them, and do it w/in days of the guilty court ruling, and end the endless delays.

Put them all on the express train to Hades. That would free up a lt of prison space and save money too.

We all know that. As a general rule, democrats like to be around people, and as a general rule, republicans don't like to be around people they don't know. Or even people they do know.

Cities, which tend to be run by democrats because they like being around lots of people, have features like more libraries, more shopping, more job opportunities, more live theater, more live music, more museums, and yes, more crime. Those are all features of big cities.

Rural areas, which tend to be run and populated by republicans because they don't like to be around lots of people, as a general rule, have fewer libraries, less shopping, fewer job opportunities, fewer live theater venues, less live music, fewer museums, and less crime.

There. Are we done now continuously pointing out that large cities are run by democrats in general? One could certainly make the case that our museums and hospitals and libraries are mostly in cities run by democrats.

Other side of the same coin.

The POINT is that democrat policies create an environment that fosters crime and fails to enforce the law when those crimes are committed. THAT IS THE POINT.

Shopping, Libraries, museums???? Are you kidding? We have beautiful state and national forests to hike and explore, affordable housing, low crime, great education, great jobs, golf courses where you can actually play golf, no traffic, and good weather.

Who the hell goes to a library anymore? You can buy every book you want online or at the local Barnes and Noble. Shopping?? Isn't that what we call Amazon? Museums? Gee........................ once you have seen a museum once, you've seen it. We, on the other hand, have historical markers, structures, battle sites, ect. which are far more interesting than a museum. I'm pretty sure I see more Broadway plays every year than you do and see more live sporting events.

We in more "rural" areas like to do things outside like hiking, walking, playing golf, hunting, biking, and enjoying the outdoors. My version of a beautiful landscape does not involve buildings and concrete, but more like lakes, streams, hills, cliffs, beaches, mountains, and forests. Living in a big city blows- I've done it in the past and am glad I'll never live in a big city again. Most urban dwellers are so provincial that they have never left their hell holes to realize there is a whole beautiful world across the Hudson that they will never see.
