This can be a Brandon win, he causes chaos where employers fire a million people from their high paying career jobs, and then pats himself on the back for creating new jobs the next month, as these newly unemployed people scramble to find any type of employment so they can pay their bills.
52 years to be exact. What it means is that almost the entirety of the US work force has never seen a better job market that it is right now. Job security, mobility opportunity, and wage growth not seen in decades.
It means so much more than that, Ponderosa, and I believe that you know it. Not so sure about the OP, though.
Speaking of wage growth, we gave everyone a raise at the top of the year. Not their annual increase - a separate 2% raise across the board because prices on consumer goods were already rising.
Now, we could give them another 5% (we actually couldn't afford to, but hypothetically), and it STILL wouldn't be enough to compensate for inflation.

Put another way, it is the number of people who got laid off and filed for benefits. At its most basic, it means relatively few people lost their jobs in the latest week - the smallest number of insured layoffs in 52 years. If you consider the size of the work force compared to 50 years ago, it is a rather staggering statistic.
Leave the job market? Is that what you are being told over there in the echo chamber? Over a million people have dropped out and started their own businesses in the past year. This is the greatest entrepreneurial opportunity ever and millions are taking advantage of it. It remains to be seen if they can make a go of it, but clearly they are working - just not for someone else.

No it doesn't mean that either. It means the same thing as it meant for 50 years. Why are you rooting against America? Are you Russian? You should be happy people are not being laid off and the economy is improving.

Echo chamber? No, it's actually happening. I am sure many people did start their own business, but please, be smarter than that. It's called "The Great Resignation." Gen Z is at the helm and is literally bragging about it.
