The old white power base in Georgia cannot stomach the fact that Georgia voted for Joe Biden and elected two Democratic senators, one of whom is black. To make sure it won't happen again they are stacking the deck, changing the rules, so that no matter what the voting outcome is they won't certify it if a Democrat wins and they'll overturn the result if they have to.
When the Georgia Repubicans say they want "election integrity," that's a code word for "we will do anything to rig it so our side wins."
MAGA Trump nutcase David Purdue is running to challenge Governor Kemp in the next primary. Purdue recently said he would not have certified Biden's election results, despite no evidence of election fraud or errors, despite the election was recounted three times.
If you need to see an example of institutional racism and voter oppression, just look at Georgia right now. They aren't even trying to hide it. We need to restore the Voting Rights Act and have the federal government oversee what Georgia is doing. Georgia is showing us right now they can't be trusted to run their own elections.

Rarely see a post with so many lies! Great work!!!
Jim Crow was a Democrat endeavor... but don't let facts get in the way.
If they are aiming for fair elections, they need to press forward and not concern themselves with people like the OP who make baseless claims every time a decision is made that they don't like.

More of north vs south vote. Southern Republicans voted in mass against Civil rights for decades along with their southern Democrats. Once the South solidified their opposition to Civil Rights in general, Nixon saw a lane to the Whitehouse.
The real story is there were few supporters in Congress in states below Virginia across the board until
1964 vote:
Note that "Southern", as used here, refers to members of Congress from the eleven states that had made up the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War. "Northern" refers to members from the other 39 states, regardless of the geographic location of those states.
The House of Representatives:[32]
Northern: 281–32 (90–10%)
Southern: 8–94 (8–92%)
The Senate:[32]
Northern: 72–6 (92–8%)
Southern: 1–21 (5–95%) – Ralph Yarborough of Texas was the only Southerner to vote in favor in the Senate

The OP may have indulged in some inflammatory rhetoric, but the claims are not baseless; read the link.

The OP mentioned Jim Crow. Republicans have never supported Jim Crow laws.
Democrats have always used race and tribalism in one way or another to move political leverage in their favor. There are Republicans who are white supremacists - but it has never gotten to the point where a racial preference was part of their official platform or legislative agenda.
John Roberts entire career has been dedicated to dismantling the Voting Rights Act. Its the primary reason he was placed on the Court. The conservatives on the Supreme Court have been intellectually dishonest and are playing stupid on this issue.
This is one of the problems with American politics, you have people motivated by dark, hidden ideologies, pretending to be normal, modern people. Justice Roberts is one of many such people in our govt.
