This "mah body" garbage is just that. If it's your body, then WHY aren't the bodies of female Americans their own? Why can GOP religious extremist MEN, planted by Trump, MANDATE that women bear unwanted children? But it's also ok for mostly Republican MEN to feel it's ok to infect and potentially kill others around them. Because "mah body."

By refusing to get vaccinated you prolong this disease. Period.

Frankly I think the US medical system needs to just say - "If you aren't vaccinated with two doses by Jan 30th you will no longer receive medical care for covid." That is a mandate that will be necessary at some point to save the entire system.

I don't want to stub my toe and catch covid in the ER from some anti-vaxx extremist and die because they refused to get a vaccine.

When has anyone who does not believe in the Vaccine Mandate ever said that you can't get the vaccine if you wanted to? The only thing being "forced" on people is from the "Vax it or casket" crowd who are so confident in the vaccine keeping them safe that they feel the need to force everyone else to get it.

Hey if the Medical System wants to deny services to COVID patients....okay. As long as they also deny services to anyone who is obese, addicted to drugs or alcohol, or takes "unnecessary" risks such as playing sports.

If you are in the ER for stubbing your toe, catching COVID is the least of your concerns.

They are key at preventing people from being hospitalized and ending up on a ventilator, once again the current surge is largely due to the unvaccinated. Unvaccinated are much more likely to end up in an ICU on a ventilator. So yes if you want to avoid vaccination because it's only 95% effective then be my guest, but it doesn't take a mathematician to understand that is a terrible choice.

Joe Biden is going to veto it. This opens up a whole can of worms for when republicans take back the house and senate next year.

No link yet but was mentioned in the White House press briefing.
Wouldn't the House of Representatives get a say if it should go to the President first?

Many companies already require mandates, over 90% of federal workers are vaccinated and many state employees. The court action is a temporary stay but the virus thanks the GOP for fighting the mandates, the competition for the Darwin awards is going to be stiff this year.

My God. Talk about misinformed. You might want to read a little history. Or maybe an audio book if the reading is too much.

Covid has a sub one percent conditional mortality rate. Calling it the "deadliest pandemic in human history" is far, far beyond imbecilic and bizarre. It's going into flat earther territory. Unicorns and space aliens.

(unless of course, your post is satire. It's getting harder and harder to tell here)

They were designed to protect against the alpha variant and offer no protection against omicron. Those continuing to receive boosters risk developing an ADE syndrome.

It seems like a "safe and effective vaccine" would protect you in this (very farfetched) case, but I guess you don't believe that's what you were injected with. Maybe you and the "MAGA extremists" have more in common than you think!

My understanding is the vaxx protects from serious disease, not a cure. As a barely 3 yr cancer survivor I have valid concerns. If I didn't think the science was good I wouldn't. But it IS good.

And we do not yet know how this virus will pan out. Will it weaken? Or become a planet killer? Who knows - so why not erradicate it if we can, and mitigate it if we can't.

And no I do not have anything in common with republicans or Trump supporters. The past 4 years has taught me, you cannot reason with socialist democrat gun grabbing scum, and that Trump Republicans are fascist reprobate. I can never be friends with either group.
