That doesn't mean much. That's Catholic Lite.

The Bible states that no man shall lie with another man. That is the sin that they need to 'repent' for. By the way, 'repent' does not mean 'beg for forgiveness', it means to 'change', as in change your ways.

Why this is considered worthy of a thread, I don't know. Are people just now realizing that churches have always viewed homosexuality as a sin?

For the record, they don't have to 'repent', at all. But, as always, the Roman Catholic Church, which has been lying to the people for years, and worships the Sun god, puts Mary above Jesus, has you all celebrating pagan holidays, etc., is wrong.

Also, why is in this in P&OC, and not the religion forum? Is it really 'controversial' when we've known some churches believe this, and have, for decades?

The caveat: You have to believe it and accept it.

Why would anyone not following (or wishing to follow) the principles of a given religion be stupid enough to want to be a member of that religion? The non-braindead person seeks out organizations that align with their personal opinions, lifestyle, and goals.

Do y'all also join a bird watching society to learn how to work on cars? And then complain?

And this is what is wrong with the US as you see some Catholic dioceses in Michigan as "all religion". I can assure you it isn't. There are MANY religions that welcome all walks of life. The Presbyterians come to mind. I visit one in Pittsburgh and there are plenty of gay couples and really everything imaginable there to enjoy each other. Sad people like you blanket everything as one as it is just so far from reality. Shame.

Because they believe that the gatekeepers are wrong on one or two particular issues and are trying to correct the institution from inside rather than splitting off and leaving behind the ones they think are following a flawed interpretation of their god.

Accept yourself the way God created you. No one is created transexual. You are either male, female, or intersex. Don't mess with God.

Inclusion is highly variable by denomination/ sect/ dynasty within the big three, Christianity, Judaism and Islam.

Doesn't every Catholic have to confess and repent something pretty regularly? Isn't that normal?
