I don't think the emergency in Colorado is over YET, hopefully it will be soon. The other day I read the entire state only had 67 ICU beds available. I still say those N95's are the only masks that truly work. Anyway, it's his state, so his call, I'm just not hearing it's over from the folks I know there.
Gov. Polis: We see it as the end of the medical emergency. Frankly, people who want to be protected [have gotten vaccinated]. Those who get sick, it's almost entirely their own darn fault. I don't want to say that nobody [will get the virus if they’re] vaccinated, but it's very rare. Just to put it in perspective, of the about 1400 people hospitalized, less than 200 (or 16 percent) are vaccinated. And many of them are older or have other conditions. Eighty-four percent of the people in our hospitals are unvaccinated, and they absolutely had every chance to get vaccinated.
I remember when the national maximum speed limit was 55 mph.
It was a big controversy.
There were people on both sides of the argument.
One side said it saves lives and gasoline.
The other side said you guys are nuts.
But but but… it saves lives.
Well that phase of insanity has passed and all the people that were dead set to keep it because it saved lives are now driving 65-70 or more and are fine with it just because of political policy.
Some people need to be lead like sheep.
It is human nature to some and they will be exploited because they are easy meal tickets.
In my opinion the covid emergency has passed.
We are not where we were 1-1/2 years ago.
Fear for some is a very real thing and the fear mongers are using that as a tool to stay in power.
There has been countless times they have broken the protocols they have set for us.
They did this because they know it is easily manageable and not the big thing that they are selling.
They do this while they are filling some with fear and nightmares.
Shame on the fear mongers.
We shouldn't moralize sickness. "It's their own fault" is really dangerous thinking. But sure, let's go there. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. How many Americans are obese?

Good on him for coming to some semblance of sanity. Shame on him for moralizing sickness.
