The next thing y'all hear will be about e-verify. So let me just post this pre-emptively.

While E-Verify is a voluntary program to many, for more and more employers, it is becoming the not-so-voluntary system of choice. On June 30, Florida joined the growing number of states to pass a version of a mandatory E-Verify statute. Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation that will require all public employers, including local school districts, public universities and colleges, and state and local agencies, as well as their private contractors, to use E-Verify, a federal electronic database intended to aid employers in confirming against federal databases that the documentation provided by new hires to establish lawful employment eligibility are in fact valid.

As a candidate in 2018, DeSantis promised to mandate the use of E-Verify. This was controversial and opposed not only by some immigrant advocacy groups, but also by business groups—especially those in agriculture, construction and hospitality.

If they are here illegally -- why hasn't Desantis removed them before this latest declaration?

Maybe because it's not his job?

Seeing how immigration and immigration control IS actually one of the federal government's constitutional responsibilities, maybe DeSantis just got tired of ineffectual Fedgov â„¢ not doing their job, so he decided to do it himself.

My problem with R’s is they are mostly wimps when it comes to actual action, but DeSantis may have a spine in him…..
it's in his proposed budget for their next fiscal year, so it would be some time before this started

Reverse tactics... and it's working beautifully!

Not many can stand up to the criminal dems like he's doing, and do it well.
hmmm, this makes me ponder ...

The Dems in DC will be happy to let you know that immigration is a Federal jurisdiction issue, not a states' issue. Abbott wasn't/isn't turning them back into Mexico, he's arresting them for essentially trespassing.

And so, if it's supposed to be Federal, then maybe DeSantis, Abbott, and other affected Governors might send those planes and buses and maybe even charter trains to the comfy confines of the District of Columbia, which is indeed Federal land. Heck, they can set up the NTA's and NTR's right there. And the tent cities.

I think that's the best Federal land for it, though open to suggestion. When they find their way through Federal lands at the border, they turn them into a mosh pit trash dump. Can't gain access to Military facilities as easy as you can the corner of Constitution and 7th

that old coot remembers when Obama tried to "normalize" relations with Cuba and all the celebs went to the few ritzy parts and told you how great it was.

he just doesn't want to remember and admit it.

you're as bad as who you quoted. You are welcome to look at the nationality of border jumpers and visa overstayers (they keep an estimate/census) and educate yourself. the #1 nationality remains "Mexico"
